About Andrea

Artist Statement

I never thought I was creative- until I discovered photography. I use photography to document the world around me as I see it. I intuitively pay attention to things that other people overlook. Recently, a clearer understanding of myself and of my world has allowed me to work in a more conceptual way. I am deeply interested in the ways in which girls and women are viewed in our society today, and at the heart of my work is the shared experiences we all have.
